Do you feel banged up and stiff after training sessions? Can’t seem to out-train that nagging elbow, knee, hip, or back issue? In this month's foundation clinic we are going to look at some of the common movement limitations that present in barbell athletes and how they may contribute to the development of pain or injury. Most of the time you can adjust variables of intensity to manage your symptoms, but when that doesn't work, you may need a better “movement lens” to be able to identify specific issues. Is it your form, mobility, range of motion, or posture irritating your back and knee? Any of these factors could contribute to injury, but a comprehensive movement assessment can help you identify where you may be deficient. Staying healthy is as important as good programming, and my goal is to help you select and modify exercises to help you stay as healthy as possible while achieving your fitness goals!
