Since I can last remember, sports and fitness have been a major part of my life. In the past seven years, I would say together, they have even become of up most importance in my success, personally and professionally. From that, the weightroom has become my second home and coaching has become my passion.
Starting as a personal trainer in 2011, becoming a Strength and Conditioning Coach in 2013, and a youth sports and fitness director in 2016, I’ve had the privilege to work with so many amazing kids, athletes, and people who strive to make their lives better through both sport and fitness. This has given me tremendous insight and experience working with various training methods, goals, and fitness journeys. It is now time to give that information (while there is always more to learn!) back to you!
Even after 4 years of undergrad at The University of Edinboro Pennsylvania, graduating with a B.S. in Human Performance, and a Masters degree from George Washington University in Exercise Science – Strength and Conditioning, many conferences, academic and personal research, the amount of information available is continuously growing and it is impossible to know all. While this is great, it can make fitness complicated for many. Through this blog, my goal is to make it fun, simple, and possible! That is not to say the road won’t be hard, the grit won’t be real, and your mental vitality won’t be needed. Here you will find content from methods of training (researched and tried), to PowerLifting fun (follow me as I compete for the very first time!), goal oriented nutrition tips/yummy recipes, general fitness (myths vs. the real deal), and some added fun and entertainment! After all, it’s what drives me, it’s what maintains my sanity, and it’s what fuels me to keep going. Simply put, it’s a vital part of life. This is the age of universal connection, I invite you to share this knowledge and journey with me.
